Fish Curry Pakistani

INGREDIENTS

  • Fish Marinade:
  • Yogurt 1 & ½ cup
  • Red chili powder 1 & ½ tbs
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 & ½ tbs
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbs
  • Salt 2tsp or to taste
  • Lemon juice 2-3 tbs
  • Fish Gravy:
  • Oil ¾ cup
  • Fenugreek seeds ½ tsp
  • Nigella seeds 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Curry leaves 15-20 leaves
  • Onion 3 medium (finely chopped)
  • Water 1-2 cups
  • Whole spice powder 1 tsp
  • Fresh coriander (chopped) for garnishing

HOW TO COOK

  • Fish Marinade:
  • In a bowl, add yogurt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, salt and lemon juice; mix well
  • Add fish and give it a good mix
  • Marinate fish for 1-2 hours
  • Fish Gravy:
  • In pot, heat oil and add fenugreek seeds, nigella seeds, mustard seeds, fennel seeds and curry leaves, sauté for a minute
  • Add onion (finely chopped) and fry until light golden
  • Now add marinated fish and cook on a high flame for 5-7 minutes or until oil appears on surface
  • Add water, cover and cook on medium low flame for 10-15 minutes
  • Lastly add whole spice powder and fresh coriander (chopped) and simmer for 2-3 minutes

  15 mins 30 minutes Serves 2
