Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms apply to every order you place on evergreenfoods.co.uk. Please read them before you order. By placing an order you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not order through the website. We recommend you save or print a copy for your records.

These terms are for customers buying as consumers. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer. For information about those rights, contact Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards office.
2. Your account
- You can order as a guest or create an account. You must be 18 or over to place an order.
- The details you give us must be true and up to date, and you must not use another person's name or details.
- Please keep your password private. You can update your details at any time from the My Account page.
- We may refuse or close an account if it is used fraudulently or if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
3. Placing an order and when the contract is made
- Add items to your basket, choose delivery or collection and your date or time slot, and enter your details.
- Check your order, tick to accept these terms and press Pay securely. You will then pay on the secure Stripe payment page.
- When your payment is successful, we will email you an order confirmation with your order number. The contract between you and us is made when we send that email.
Stock is held for you while you pay. If payment is not completed within 45 minutes, the order is cancelled and the items are released.
We may refuse or cancel an order, and will refund you in full, if:
- an item is no longer available;
- your payment cannot be authorised;
- there is an obvious error in the price or description of an item; or
- your address is outside the areas we deliver to.
The contract is in English. A copy of each order is kept in your account (if you have one) and in your confirmation email, and you can contact us for a copy at any time.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you pay.
- We check our prices carefully. If we find an error after you have ordered, we will contact you to ask whether you want to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
- Payment is taken in full when you place your order. We accept major debit and credit cards, and Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device supports them. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Prices, offers and deals may change at any time, but changes do not affect orders you have already placed.
5. Discount codes and deals
- Only one discount code can be used per order. Codes must be entered before payment and cannot be added afterwards.
- Codes and deals may have a minimum spend, an expiry date or other conditions, which are shown with the offer.
- Discount codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged.
- We may limit quantities of items on offer and may decline orders that buy offer items in bulk.
6. Our products
- Halal: all the meat we sell is halal and comes from certified suppliers. See our Halal Assurance page for details.
- Weights: meat is sold in fixed pack weights. Because meat is a natural product, the weight of an individual pack may vary slightly from the stated weight.
- Cutting instructions: where a product allows it, you can tell us how you would like it cut or prepared. We will follow your instructions as closely as we reasonably can.
- Images: product photos are for illustration. The packaging or appearance of the item you receive may differ slightly.
- Allergens and product information: we take care to keep allergen, ingredient, nutrition and country of origin information accurate, but suppliers can change recipes and sources. Always check the label on the product you receive before eating it. If you have an allergy and are unsure about a product, please contact us before ordering.
- Quantity limits: we may limit the number of a product you can buy in one order, for example for heavy, bulky or limited items.
7. Availability
Stock levels shown on the website are updated in real time, but occasionally an item may become unavailable after you have ordered. If this happens we will contact you, and we will refund you for that item. We will not send a substitute unless you agree to it.
Some items sold in our shop are not available online.
8. Delivery
Delivery areas, charges, free delivery thresholds and order cutoff times are shown on our Delivery Information page and at checkout. The amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay.
- Local delivery is available in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area, in the time slot you choose at checkout.
- Nationwide delivery is sent by overnight courier in insulated packaging, to arrive on the delivery date shown at checkout. Orders must be placed before the daily cutoff time to be dispatched that day.
- Please make sure someone is available to receive the delivery. Chilled and frozen goods should be put in the fridge or freezer as soon as they arrive.
- If you ask us or the courier to leave your order in a safe place or with a neighbour, it is at your own risk once it has been left there.
- If a delivery cannot be made because no one is available and no safe place was given, we or the courier will try to contact you. Redelivery depends on availability and may carry an extra charge. Because most of our goods are perishable, if we cannot rearrange delivery within 24 hours, we may cancel the order. In that case we will refund any items that can be returned to stock, but not the delivery charge or perishable items.
- If we are unable to deliver on the agreed date, we will contact you to arrange a new date or give you a full refund.
- The goods become your responsibility when they are delivered to you or to the place you asked us to leave them. They become yours once we have received payment in full.
- We may stop offering delivery to an address where deliveries have repeatedly failed.
9. Click and collect
- You can collect your order from Evergreen Foods, 26 Penryn Avenue, Fishermead, Milton Keynes, MK6 2BG, in the time slot you choose at checkout. Collection is free.
- Please bring your order number or confirmation email. We may ask for the name on the order.
- If you do not collect your order on the agreed day and have not contacted us, we may cancel it on the same basis as a failed delivery in section 8.
10. Preorders, including Eid and Qurbani
Some products, such as seasonal or Qurbani orders, are sold as preorders. They can only be delivered or collected on the dates shown on the product page and at checkout. Payment is taken in full when you order. Any extra conditions for a preorder product are shown on its product page.
11. Changing or cancelling your order
If you want to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. Changes must be made by 2pm on the day before your delivery or collection date. We cannot change or cancel an order once we have started preparing it, in particular when meat has already been cut to your instructions.
12. Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days after you receive goods to cancel without giving a reason. This right does not apply to:
- fresh, chilled or frozen food, including meat, poultry, fish, fruit and vegetables, or any goods that can go off quickly;
- goods made or cut to your instructions; and
- sealed goods that have been unsealed after delivery and cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons.
For other goods, such as unopened groceries and cupboard items, you can cancel by contacting us within 14 days of delivery. You must return the goods unopened and in their original condition within 14 days of telling us, at your own cost unless we agree otherwise. We will refund the price and the standard delivery charge for those goods within 14 days of receiving them back, using your original payment method. We may reduce the refund if the goods have been handled more than was necessary to inspect them.
13. Problems with your order
If anything is faulty, damaged, not as described, missing or not of satisfactory quality, please contact us as soon as possible. For fresh and chilled food, please tell us on the day of delivery or collection, or within 24 hours, and send a photo of the item and its label if you can. This helps us to check the problem and put it right quickly. For safety reasons, please do not eat any food you think is not right.
Where goods are faulty or not as described, we will offer a replacement or a refund, as your legal rights allow. You do not need to return perishable food unless we ask you to. This does not affect your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Refunds are made to the original payment method and normally reach your account within 5 to 10 working days.
14. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to keep to these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for business losses, as our goods are for domestic and private use only.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your legal rights in relation to the goods we supply.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, road closures or courier network problems. If this happens we will contact you as soon as possible, and you can cancel the affected order for a full refund.

17. Changes to these terms

18. Other important terms
